I am officially deciding not to freak out anymore about NEWTS. No matter what happens, that is what is going to happen. And I think I've studied myself into a coma. I wonder if Larissa is as stressed as I am.

How was everyone's break? It's nice to be back school, and going into the last few weeks of being a seventh year. I spent some of break shadowing my mum at her job at the Ministry. Quite fascinating honestly, makes me think I've made the right choice, going into wizarding law and everything. My application for the law school is all set except for my NEWTS scores, which will be sent right to them. It's really exciting, and truly frightening to know that my entire future is completely and totally planned out.
In the last few months, we all get a little stir crazy, and start to lax a bit. We need all of you to remember the rules, and do your best to follow them. Summer is right around the corner, don't ruin your last few weeks with a load of detentions.
Larissa and I looked at our flat we're thinking of renting in Hogsview. It does have a nice set up, good natural light. As fast as things seem like they're moving, it's good to know I have Larissa by myself through all this. We're going to be sending over the application for the flat in May, and will (hopefully) be moving in by late June.
NEWTS study groups, are we still on? I could use some refreshing in Potions, and maybe a bit in History of Magic.

One of the best reasons to be a Slytherin on St. Patrick's day? No one pinches you because you're not wearing green. Which is of course, not funny at all. Seriously, don't pinch each other, it's just silly.

Good game Slytherin, you played very well. Congratulations on your win.
It's good to be back, and I feel like I have a lot to catch up on. I've been going over all my notes, and getting through the homework. Rotten time to disappear honestly. I'm hoping by the weekend, things will be back on track.
I'm just tired still from getting caught back up on prefect rounds, and school work. I'm just ready to get to bed super early.

Those singing valentines, I thought they were kinda cute, which is why I sent them to all the prefects. Handmade ones are always nice too of course. Valentines' Day can be very enjoyable when you don't take it seriously really. Just enjoy the dance, and the loads of chocolate floating around the castle. Might as well have a bit of fun with it.
Hope to see you all at the dance.

This year is going by so fast, I can't believe it's almost February all ready. NEWTS are coming up so fast, I feel no where near prepared. Does anyone feel like hitting the books this week? I could really use the review in certain subjects.
I've sent in my application for the magical law courses, and all I'll have to do is make they get my NEWTS scores when they come in. It's pretty exciting, and everything suddenly feels very real. That next year is my last year. And I won't be here every day, and I hope that Lari and I find a flat to share. Which we're doing, because we've lived apart for seven years, and haven't been exactly loving that. Next Hogsmeade trip we're looking at the Hogsview flats, I heard they were pretty decent. That seems real too.
Im really enjoying this winter weather, the snow is so pretty. I hope we get just a little more before spring comes.

Another year has come and gone, and I celebrated it with extremely cheap champagne courtesy of my brother Nick. Thank you Nick for not getting the better stuff, and drinking that awful concoction made me wish I had stuck to toasting with juice like I did when I was a little girl.
My new year's resolution is to be healthier, like not, eat chips at every mean, as tempting as they are. To get on top of my studies more, and that's about it. Boring ones really, the same type everyone makes. I'll be more creative next time, I promise, when I'm buzzed on disgusting cheap champagne.

I'm going to the dance, prefect duties of course. I found a nice dress, Lari helped me pick one out, she's the fashionable one I tell you. Otherwise, I'm completely hopeless, I had something green and shapeless, and it was bad. Just so bad. But with my sister's help, things tended not to go array.
( Hexed Private )
I look forward to seeing you all at the dance, at least the ones that are attending.
And this may be late, but everyone did a wonderful job in the play, I very much enjoyed it.

I am happy to report that I don't have the sneezing sickness. I did think it was coming on, but it turns out, it was just a little head cold, nothing really to be concerned about. I didn't even miss classes, which at this date and time, are really important to me. Especially with NEWTS this year. But this being said, if you feel like you have the sneezing sickness, please go see Madame Pomfrey. Don't wait until it's too late, and you infect your entire dorm.
Also, I'm blond again. I was sick of the dark hair, and of people calling me Larissa. I also like change. So, I'm now the blond Ollivander.

I think everyone should take a good look at Iona's list, it's really helpful if you're worried, and has a good deal of tips. Otherwise, we need to keep calm, and I really think it's an isolated incident. Let's not panic where panic does not need to be.
The weather has been just so nice lately, still just warm enough where you don't need a cloak, but just on the side of crisp, where you can wear your uniform jumper, and not be too warm. I've been taking to studying outdoors, why waste all this nice weather? Soon it's going to be rainy and cold. Enjoy what we have now.
Lari, Feel up for a twins night? I miss you, and I really, really want to do a wardrobe swap. My navy waistcoat for your knitted maroon beret?

NEWTS. They're coming, this year. Not all that long away when you think about it. My da said he started studying for NEWTS as a sixth year. I think that's a bit insane myself, but he said at least, at the very end, he wasn't stressed. He was ready, he could recite things in his sleep. Do I wish I was that prepared? Yes. Did I start studying my sixth year? No. Maybe that was a rookie mistake. My brother Nick never studied at all. He couldn't have cared less about NEWTS. He was going to be an artist. He ended up doing well on his NEWTS anyways. I need to find the happy medium between Nick and da. I'll end up crazy. I went crazy around OWLS as well.
That being said, HOM is better than it was last year. I can even stay awake. That's always nice when it comes to courses. Being able to stay awake.
Larissa, did you accidentally take my blue and white striped scarf by mistake? I can't fine it anywhere.

( Hexed Private to Slytherin students )
This might be a tad late, but congratulations to Gen and to Aaron for making head boy and girl, and to all our prefects. I know you'll do a great job, and make your houses proud honestly. Same to you Quidditch captains, especially Bar, because she's brilliant.
I only have one more week at the cafe it seems, my parents want me to enjoy the last week of summer. I don't think that's really so bad, but I didn't think my job was either. I've made a good bit of pocket money, and I can afford all my school things. I also could afford new strings for my guitar, brilliant. A nice new set of knitting needles and the thread I could want. Knitting keeps your fingers nimble, for the guitar. It's good finger exercise, and you can something else out of it, nice scarf, jumper, whatever.
My sister and I are going to Diagon Alley next week for our school supplies. I hope to see some of you.

Week four in my summer of caffeine, and I'm proud to say, whipped cream free. In place of whipped cream in the face, I've burnt myself twice, been called a "slag who can't pour coffee," and lost my apron. But with my pain, honestly, the pain in my arm from scalding myself, I've been able to get all my school supplies early, and started my own savings account at Gringotts. It's nice to have my own money, and not have to pester my parents all the time.
My brother Nick, he's an artist, is having a little show in Camden next Saturday, and I think it's going to brilliant. He's going to be a big artist, everything he does is really great. He did a portrait of my sister and I are our birthday, it's perfect really. My entire family is going to be there. I think it's really important to support family in their dreams.
Larissa and I are debating between Diagon Alley for Potter day, or Hogsmeade. Maybe both. We don't know yet.

I'm well into week two of Madison's working adventures, and I'm happy to say that I haven't had any whipped cream in the face. I have however developed an unhealthy addiction to white chocolate iced mochas. Very delicious, very fattening. I'm actually going on the runs my brother invites me on in the mornings.
Happy birthday Albus, I have a gift for you, I just keep getting distracted by work and, summer homework to mail it out. I hope you had a great one.
My sister is dying my hair dark brown tonight, the muggle way. I could use a charm, but I would rather do it this way for some reason.

Glad to see the right candidate won. My da voted for Macmillian, so did my mum and my brother, and so did I. It was really brilliant to feel like I was part of something bigger than myself. I feel like I made the right decision.
My parents want me to get a part time job this summer, and I do too, so I found something part time. A part barrista in a muggle coffee shoppe. The first day, it was a training day, was a little rough. A man may have yelled at me, for using whole milk instead of non fat. He never said he wanted non fat, I wouldn't have given him whole if I knew he wanted non fat. Things went a little down hill after that. There is no humiliation like having whipped cream all over your hair and face. But still, it won't be so bad once I have my first paycheck. My parents wanted me to learn some responsibility, so they thought getting a job would be good. It could be a good way to spend a summer.
We're getting set to go on our yearly tradition of going camping this summer in Brighton. I love it. The beach, even though it's usually too cold to actually go swimming. We rent a cabin, and my brother paints all day. My mum and I press butterflies into books, and wildflowers too. My da will do the cooking, and he's actually really good at it. I'm going to bring all my summer homework, and see how much I can get done. While I'm sitting on the beach of course.
If anyone is in muggle Chelsea, I'm working at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf if you feel like popping in.
